Buyer Beware! Found a minivan on internet listed at $8,999. Sticker on van reflected $12,000. Told they would accept the internet price. I asked what would happen if someone didn't go through the internet. Manager stated that they would be charged full price!
Brought car to be checked by independent service station (thanks Judge Judy). They found a number of leaks which would cost $700-$1,000 to fix. I told dealership manager that I would be willing to pay their price, not inflated price, to correct problems. They refused.
First final cost included additional $495. to go to the DMV and complete the documents! Also added on about an additional $400. for items already in car and not requested. Bottom line:
from a starting price of $8,000 to a final price of $12,000,
Now I call that "bait and switch ".
