This review is for the catering/restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Toronto.
I was here for a work event and had a dinner/gala here. We started off by having an open bar and they had ran out of vodka very early on in the evening though it was later replenished. The mojitos and mixed drinks were good and I think that is what most of my stars are going to.
We had a three course dinner but only the soup was good. It was a wild mushroom soup and it was quite creamy. The salad was very average but the worst was the main course. The porcini crusted filet mignon was quite dry and tasteless. It was quite disappointing especially when you pay that much per head.
The only redeeming part were the dessert table and ambience. There was quite a bit of variety though not all of the dessert pieces were good. The macaron and tiramisu were the better ones amongst the bunch. Needless to say that ambience here is top notch and I believe that this is what you are paying for and for the location of course.
Would not come back for dinner, maybe drinks.
