I have not posted a comment but after seeing the comment by Ronita (the daughter of my moms roommate) i felt compelled to write. I didnt have much choice in facilities to take my mom too at the time i moved her in so this place was really my only choice. I never had a good feeling about Christina and i ended up being right. They don't want people like my mom who is actually very independent compared to most residents there. She is very social and everytime myself or other family members came to visit she was the only one who spoke to staff and others. Everyone else either couldnt or chose not to communicate but Christina would complain about my mom being too social. Yes we did visit quite often so there is no reason to make such accusations. Funny i could say the same thing. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. I was told they do activities and only activity was bingo. Even when they lost an entire suitcase of my moms clothes i gave up trying to find out where it went. I had to deal with Christina not putting my moms paperwork through on time because of her own personal issues and even when she finally did i had to explain how to calculate how much she owed me. That definitely is a problem. I did not want to move my mom in spite of this. But to approach me one day telling me it is better to find a new place because my mom is too social and mean was the last straw. This woman has no compassion for the elderly. If she did she would understand the needs of the residents instead of being so selfish. As of this day my mom still does not have the clothes they misplaced but she is definitely in a better environment where everyone cares and loves her. She is busy all day long and is with people who truly enjoy theor job and are compassionate. Christina is just in it for the money.
