I was skeptical about Julia's from the outside, but I think I've finally found a study spot where I can really settle in. Ample access to electrical outlets, great barista, and eclectic selection of actual food so you don't feel like you're skipping out on lunch. Today there were hummus wraps, jerk chicken, banh mi, BLTs, and more from Friendship Kitchen. Whenever I need a break from work it's easy to find inspiration in the used book stacks. I love that the loft area is more secluded, flooded with natural sunlight, and set up to work alone and/or to collaborate with others. On a weekday afternoon there is plenty of space to spread out. I noticed several meetings and interviews happening around me. I also love that Julia's supports Habitat for Humanity's mission, so I walk out feeling productive beyond my own individual work that day.
