  • The staff is super friendly, but the animals are not given the proper supervision, attention, exercise and environment they need. I was shocked when I picked up my dog after being there for a long weekend, to find my dog chewed hunks out of her bed. Clearly a sign of distress. My dog has NEVER done anything like this anytime. NEVER. When I commented on this, one of the staff said nonchalantly "...yeah they will do that." I paid extra for additional walks, playtime and bathroom breaks and it leaves me to wonder what really goes on here. In fact, I overhead a staff member say it was too cold to take the dogs out for a walk in the morning.(This was in the winter). What??? These dogs are in cages all day with nothing to look at! That is cruel not taking them for a walk, when they are isolated in a cage! It really has the feeling of the pound, inside. When I got my dog home, I had spent time petting my dog and felt some kind of abrasion on her, that under closer examination was a partially healed bite mark!!! I was livid and so upset with myself that I entrusted these people to care for my dog! I gave PALS one star, because they do help rescue dogs in need. Be safe to say the conditions here are close to the pound's, but at least their rescues don't get put on an E list.
