One of the few sushi places in Arizona I've gone to that I couldn't stop thinking about for hours afterwards (and the next day!). And that includes the long drive home from Phoenix to Tucson. I found this place after yelping it and boy were Yelpers spot on.
I don't know if it's on the menu but we got the "Chef special." Pretty much it consisted of us asking the sushi chef what's good there and he said he'll take care of us. If I have time, I'll post pictures but we received a whole array of fresh fish (nigiri, roll, and sashimi), including monkfish pate, and they were all amazing. I think the stars of the night were the Spanish Mackerel (tasted like a fatty Salmon) and the Toro, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them.
Bill was about $50/person but we didn't order any drinks. I think it's totally worth the price though.
P.S. I guess there was another dish that wasn't on the menu called the "lollipop." The patrons next to us got it and it looked delicious. We were too stuffed to order one at that point but in the future I'll be sure to try it. Also, it may help to call in reservations. We went on Sunday night at around 7pm and they were still packed.
