| - I decided to shop around a bit to try to find something a little closer to me in proximity so I came across this place, at the time I believe I heard about a deal they had for first time customers so I thought I would try it out.
Located in Port Credit off Lakeshore and Hurontario which I know can actually be a pretty busy intersection in itself but I managed to book in an off time. They do not appear to have any parking available though I did not personally inquire about this, there is paid street parking if you can get it on the street.
I will say first off that I wasn't overly impressed by the greeting or service at reception, I found it a little cold and inattentive. The location itself was bright and tidy but on the small side however I didn't have to wait long for my consultation. I can't quite remember the exact name of the woman I spoke with, I think her name was Sharon. She was very pleasant however I did get the feeling that sales was the primary emphasis for her. She told me that they used botox instead of Dysport, spent sometime explaining why she thought it was better and she then told me that the "deal" had a fair bit of fine print so I had to purchase the full amount and the discount would be applied to that. I will say that regardless I'm fully aware of the costs of botox but looking back now it does kind of bug me that they didn't disclose all the info to begin with.
I decided to try anyway, I believe the discount worked out to be about $100 (which isn't really all that great compared to other places) I was then guided into another room and introduced to my injector who's name I believe was Andra, a very pleasant and friendly lady. The procedure here is one I have never experienced anywhere else though; they had me face time with a physician really quickly which I have never had to do before and looking back now I will say I'm a little confused by this still. So we had to wait for a while till she could reach a physician, who I told that I had done this before, had no issues with it and we were quickly onto the procedure. The procedure wasn't painful even though I had taken a long break from it although I will say I've never really found the procedure that painful any time I received it so that doesn't say much.
She did mention to me in passing that she was going to hold back on injecting 2 units explaining that you can't un-inject someone if it's "too much"... at the time it made sense however looking back on it now it's kind of a waste for me and I am not even sure they would honour the 2 units anyway even if I wanted to return. After enough time the overall result isn't the greatest in my opinion; I find the mobility and emoting pretty static but the reason I get it, to decrease the forehead lines when you raise your eyebrows, it doesn't help with at all. Very strange. They do follow up but I feel it's too soon to really see much difference and by that time it's too late to really do anything.
Even though this isn't considered invasive surgery its still a process that you have to be very careful with. I will be braving the Toronto traffic to go back to my go to spot Bellair Laser clinics which I have learned the hard way is well worth the commute
