I used to be a regular customer at PJ's. I will say that the stylist Maria is absolutely amazing and this review is no reflection on her or her work. I called and booked an appointment to have my hair done before a wedding I was in. Not an up do just a cut. Maria my usual stylist was booked solid that week so I was scheduled with a lady named Jen. The day of my appointment I arrived 10 minutes early and witnessed Jen outside smoking. I went in and proceeded to wait 30 minutes in the waiting area before I walked to the counter and questioned why I was 30 minutes past my wait time. They were shocked. They then proceeded to try and find Jen who had not looked at her book for the day and was shopping down the street before her next appointment. Another girl shampooed me and walked me over to Jen's area at the same time Jen walked in. Jen then started yelling at me! Saying she was done until 4:30 and I must have been a walk in and then she told me some one else could cut my hair! Everyone was silent and started apologizing. I just stood there shocked. I was directed back to the waiting area while they asked every person if they had time to cut my hair! Finally after waiting over an hour since my arrival Someone else came over and took me to her chair and very quickly cut my hair. It was a fast job and it was really not at all what I asked for but I was already too embarrassed to say anything. I got up to pay expecting at least an apology or a discount especially after getting yelled at and I was now running late for the rehearsal dinner (the new other stylist did my hair for me so I would be on time) not only did I pay full price but they charged me for the style too! The one they offered to do because they had made me late in the first place. I paid and left. I called the next day and spoke with the owner (after leaving 4 messages for him) and found out he had seen the whole thing the day before and had not said a word! He asked what I thought would be fair compensation for my experience, and in the end took off 50% and refunded my card. I will never ever go back to a place that thinks this is customer service, especially when he admitted that he has problems with this stylist all the time.
