It's a tiny walk-up stall in Chinatown pumping out enticingly sweet, waffle aromas. The man behind the magic is constantly on his skillets churning out dessert egg rolls. Flavors range from plain, black sesame to green tea. He's cash and debit only, so once I accquired some monies from the ATM, I went straight back to the stall. I was a little disappointed that he sells them in packs of 12 (I only wanted a couple to try), plus they are not made-to-order. According to him, he has to let them cool or else they get mushy in the boxes.
He did a little pitch about someone who'd cleaned him out the other day, how earlier one person came by a second time to buy more boxes after he'd eaten them all... the usual salesman stuff. I obliged by buying a box of the black sesame dessert rolls. True to his word, they went FAST. Light, not too overly sweet, paired perfectly with some tea and coffee.
