  • I've had several good experiences here in the past. However, my latest experience with SGC has me looking for a new place to buy guns and accessories. I went in last Sunday looking for a scope mount. They didn't have the one I wanted in stock but I was assured they could order it and have it in a couple days. I placed the order, paid my $200 and left to wait a couple days for the part to come in. Tuesday rolls around so I decide to call to check the status. The guy on the phone was less than helpful. He informed me it had not come in and he did not show an eta. I asked why I was told "a couple of days" and am now being told they have no eta. He offered no explanation except that I should talk to who ever I dealt with on Sunday. I asked to speak to his supervisor at this point. The supervisor got on the phone, was very polite and seemed concerned, and offered to contact their distributor to get an eta for me. This took place at 3p so I was not expecting a call back until the next day. Wednesday rolls around and I don't receive a call back from the supervisor. Now its Thursday mid day. I call back to SGC to check the status. It took some time but I was finally told again that they could offer no eta and that they would refund my cc so I could purchase it elsewhere. Here's where things went from bad to worse. They would have to call me back to get my cc info for the refund. I thought this was odd but said ok. An hour or so later i happened to be in the area of SGC so I thought I'd stop in to get the refund handled. Inside, I was told that since I didn't purchase the mount from SGC it was not an ordinary return. I assured the guy I purchased and paid for the mount at the very counter we were standing at the previous Sunday. I was then informed I had purchased the mount through their "dealer network" or something to that effect and there was only one person in the whole company that could process those returns. He was out of the office but would be in on Friday and I should expect a call the next day. Now its Friday evening. SGC has not called to refund my cc. In hindsight I should have bought this online. I would have saved a few buck and already had the mount. So much for supporting a local business!
