| - This was my first trip to Fogo and it was a special outing for a graduating friend. I must say that I was concerned about strict dress codes since we both wore shorts - 98 degree weather outside. A few meats were on the dry side, but that's to be expected, mostly small cuts, chicken and one pork item. The beef stood out, specifically the house specials. The market fresh salad bar is very generous and well-stocked and I know not to fill up on those goodies before I have a chance to taste some of the meats. I will make Fogo my monthly outing from now on.
The staff is helpful and they're always on hand if you have questions or have special requests. The dessert portions are gargantuan, so you can share one dessert with your significant other. Their drink selection surpasses most places I have patronized in the past, although we settled for Guarana.
This has been hands down the best experience I have had at any select restaurant in Arizona, bar none. I have traveled around the country and around the world, and I am a gourmet chef with three decades experience - also taught gourmet cooking classes, and I must say that I have never had better service, even at places costing five times as much. Before you waste time and money at mediocre shops, try this first!
