Several years ago I contacted Cassady Law requesting information about making a will. They kindly and quickly sent me some basic information and after reading what I needed to do and to provide for making a will I easily set up an appointment and within 2 weeks had a completed will and a second appointment to review and sign all of the necessary papers. All in all a very professional experience. At the time I was signing the papers I was informed that I should consider 'upgrading' my will to a full living trust and when I was ready to do that they would gladly send me the appropriate information and even provide a nominal discount as I already had the will with them. Very recently due to an illness and subsequent operation the upgrading to a trust has been on the top of my To Do list.
Today, while recuperating I called their main number in Anthem Henderson and got a woman named Melinda who, when I asked for Trust information to be mailed to me, told me that they ONLY made appointments and no longer sent out information... I 'tried' to explain that had they not initially sent me the basics for a will I would have wasted my time as well as theirs when I came into their office - instead I knew exactly what information to gather and have with me. She kept cutting me off and said that now they ONLY make appointments and send NOTHING to prospective clients!!! I asked to speak to someone else or a supervisor and after waiting 10+ minutes got another woman and I explained that I felt that Cassady Law had changed and I would try another lawyer and her comment was simply; "do whatever you want" and she hung up. Perhaps success has gone to their heads and they are no longer the friendly family law firm!
