  • Not really sure why this place has such rave reviews, maybe it's just not for me. I got the Enchiladas Suizas, which was essentially sugary chicken, cheese, and milk that tasted like a frozen microwave dinner. I love cheese and this was too much cheese. My fiancee got one of the tacos, which were alright, but not $12 good for the portions and flavors. The best part of the meal was the Guacamole, which had pomegranate seeds in it. As for the service, it was minimal. It was not busy at all and we waited a long time to be seated, for anyone to come take our order, for waters, and then a long time for the check - though oddly the food came fast. I did not finish my enchiladas (I admittedly barely ate) and the waiter asked if I wanted it packed up, I said no thank you. Later the manager came by and asked if I wanted it packed up and I said no thank you to him as well. He asked me if I liked it and I said it was alright (I didn't want to be rude). He then launched into a story about how you should not lie and gave me literally his whole life story and how hard he has worked to get here. If he was looking for sympathy for a better tip, admittedly it worked, because based on the food and service I would have tipped on the low end. I left feeling a bit conned, I spent a ton of money on food I didn't enjoy, wasted my time doing a lot of waiting throughout the service, then more time (I was really trying to get to an evening appointment) when the manager lectured me on telling him if I liked his food or not and his tragic backstory. He seemed nice enough, and I sympathize, but the combination of everything left a figurative and literal bad taste in my mouth.
