They are right down the block from me and one of the employees is a friend of a friend so I decided to give them a shot. Three bad experiences in a row and I'm telling my friends never to come.
First time, they gave me a haircut that very obviously needed product when I SPECIFICALLY told them I wanted a haircut that didn't need product. They then pressured me to use/buy product while I was paying.
Second time, THEY MISCALCULATED THE TIP SO I WOULD HAVE TO TIP 30% MORE (for the haircut + product purchases). I'm willing to believe this was an accident.
Third time, I made an appointment with a specific stylist. When I finally rushed from class to Tula to make the appointment, they told me the stylist wasn't going to be available for another 30 minutes and they pressured me to take the new client-less stylist. Bait and switch.
What's more striking was that there were no apologies in any of the three visits. I guess this kind of poor form is institutionalized here? Anyways, yeah... kind of have to brush off the dust on my Yelp account and write a bad review for these guys.
