| - When I bought my home in June with a fixer upper pool, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The plaster was cracked, stained, disintegrating. There were three different kinds of waterline tile, some tiles were missing completely. The pool pump was on its last leg and used so much energy, and the filter was way too small for my pool and was needing to be cleaned every weekend. Chad from Barefoot came over to provide an estimate. He listened to every issue I told him about my pool and offered me options and pricing on the spot. I went with micro pebble fusion and a dark blue waterline tile. I even needed a new pool light and got the Pentair IntelliBrite LED light. I must say I am pretty excited about the light (there is an American setting with red, white, and blue!). Juan and his team did an excellent job relocating my new equipment away from the pool so that I can have more seating room on the outside of my pool. I am eager to see what my electricity bill will look like next summer with the LED light and variable speed pump. The most important reason I am writing this review is because I had a special request - to have everything on my pool redone by Christmas! With a quick timeline Chad and his team were able to complete everything by the 17th of December despite having found a few decent sized cracks in the structure of my pool. When everything was said and done, Chad came over to explain everything about my pool and new equipment, from basics to more complex stuff. Everyone I have talked to at Barefoot, including Doug, Jose, and Chad, have made me feel like a very valued customer and I will gladly recommend their work to anyone looking to redo their pool.
Relocating your pool equipment - see here: I wanted to add another tidbit that I am very pleased about. A different pool company I talked to told me they do not do electrical work (this is a fairly large pool company so this was interesting to me) and I would need to contact an electrician for a price for an electrician. Of course, they have someone they recommend, but even told me that he maybe more expensive than other people. The last thing I wanted to do was find an electrician. With a new light, pump, equipment relocation and other electrical work that was not to code, I was VERY PLEASED when Chad's quote for equipment relocation covered plumbing and electrical. And not only does it all function properly - it sure does look nice!
