  • Came here because of the raving reviews of friends, and even people I don't know just hearing Burgatory in the conversation. Unfortunately the place did not live up to its hype... At least for me. I came here with a friend as we were in the area, it was probably around 9 or so and the restaurant was empty, just a few people at the bar watching the Penguin game. Looked over the menu (obviously getting a burger) looked at the selection and was impressed with the types of meats, decent toppings but not as unique as i imagined they would be. So i got the "Meat You Maker" mostly due to the Wagyu beef. Came out pretty quick, probably because we were the only people eating. Now there was nothing wrong with the burger (was a bit on the dry and over cooked) but it was not good enough to rave about endlessly like everyone in Pittsburgh loved to do. Asked my companion and she was not wowed either. Food aside the waitress clearly wanted to get out of there and left the bill a minute after our burgers arrived... Then kept coming around to check if we had paid, even though the restaurant want closing anytime soon. Overall i give it a 2.5 stars rounded up to 3. Is it good yes but it is not worth all the hype that is associated with it.
