  • I had two friends staying at the SLS so once it came to dinner time we walked around looking for a place to eat. Because it was late and in the middle of the week most places were closed so we settled on Cleo and I am very happy we did! This place was a wonderful surprise. I have to say I wasn't expecting much which is probably what made the experience even that much better. The variety and quality of the small plates was wonderful. By far, my favorite dish was the lamb tartar. I had never had lamb tartar before so I don't have anything to compare it to but it really blew me away and I have been telling people about it ever since. The three of us ordered a number of small plates because we wanted to try it all. What really stands out to me (aside from the lamb tartar) was the pork belly, falafel, brussels sprouts. and definitely the grilled octopus. I am always hesitant ordering octopus, even though it's one of my favorite foods, because of the way some places cook it. Cleo served a perfectly tender octopus dish that definitely surpassed my expectations. Not expecting much from this place I was pleasantly surprised. I can't wait to try it again with my now high expectations.
