  • I love this place! the historic information offered, the friendly staff answering all my question. Seeing the roof top pool Remember this was built in 1928, so if you want fancy this is (for 1928) one of the first a/c hotels if not the first. and no there is no modern upgrade to the a/c and that is part of it's charm. the friendly spirits/ energies are abundant if you are open to that, I have been here twice, and it's charm of old days and suites where celebrity's and Icon's of yester year run a muck. They have a "ghost tour" in October, and it mostly gives you some of the actual history, and some of the tall tails that can't be proven. I guess being the daughter of an antique dealer the charm of this place, could not be any better! We ate at the Irish pub next door Yummy corned beef. YUMMY! The hotel was updated , but they didn't change the original bathrooms, so that is the reason they are small. (built in 28) clean, fresh linens! no bugs, and no musty odors. it was too much fun and amazing to stay here. Thanks to David, Xavier, and Bob for all they did for us!
