rev:text	I received a spa day as a Christmas present. Being a spa regular, I can confidently say that out of all of the spas I've gone to in Canada and in other countries, Elmwood Spa is the best. The facilities are excellent. Unlike other spas in Toronto (e.g., Vikaspa), the changing rooms were spacious, with ample locker space and good amenities. I especially appreciated the little touches they provided, such as complimentary razors, tampons, etc. I also like how all guests are given an itinerary! The lunch I received was amazing!!! Though it was a bit crowded, and it took awhile for them to seat us, this was perfectly understandable. Also, everyone was so gracious that I really didn't mind the wait. Oh, and the food selection was great. If you want to eat standard spa food such as salads, you can do so. They do, however, also serve steak frites, which weren't as good as, say, La Palette's but it was a notch above standard spa food. They also have a wine list, which, again, isn't what you would find in other spas but is very much appreciated, especially for those of us seeking to relax. As for the services themselves, I highly recommend the RMT massage and the facial. My massage therapist gave me good advice following treatment to make sure that I knew how to relieve the tension in my shoulder blades. I also appreciated that she asked me how much pressure I wanted. A lot of places assume that because I'm little, I can only tolerate light massages; no sirree - knead my shoulders like you're kneading dough! And my massage therapist delivered. The facial was also great. My facialist went through the details of my treatment extensively and I knew every step of the way what to expect. She also made sure to give me another relaxing massage afterwards! So in the end, I got two massages in one visit! Another thing I appreciate about Elmwood is that they don't try to coerce you into buying products afterwards. There is no hard sell involved here! Overall, this was an enchanting experience! I will definitely return.
