  • I got suckered into this place due to Bass Pro Shops. They offered 2 nights in Vegas here PLUS a 4 night cruise for $150. Killer deal right? Well there is a catch. You have to sit through a timeshare presentation. The only exposure I had of timeshares up to this point has been a South Park episode. It is NOT a presentation as much as a salesperson talking you out of as much money as they can get. My salesperson was an older lady by the name of Cynthia. She tried a grandmother approach by telling me that I needed to vacation more. She told me I was overstressed and what I needed was to use their timeshare condos to relax. I could not agree more but Cynthia kept circumventing my two most important questions: How much does this cost? How does this compare to booking a vacation off Orbitz, Priceline or Groupon? She just said, "lets not worry about the cost" and "I promise you this will pay off in the long run." A British gentleman eventually gave me a quote. $32,000 to buy into the program along with a $1,220 annual fee. If I can't come up with the cost all at once, I can finance the admission fee at a rate of 16.99% APR. Cynthia refused to take no for an answer. After two and a half hours, I finally got fed up and pointed to the time on my cell, "It is noon, I am hungry and bored. Can we wrap this up?" This pissed her off. She walked out the room and slammed the door in my face. The property is located 3 blocks east of MGM Grand. There is a small indoor swimming pool with no ventilation. It felt like a sauna in there. Internet access comes at a premium. There are 3 public computers on the 2nd floor but they are so old, they can barely run internet explorer. The room well appointed but cannot compare to a basic room at the Venetian or Rio. If you are looking for a cheap room in Vegas, consider the Stratosphere first. If you already got suckered into Bluegreen, prepare yourself for some serious BS.
