Let me start off by saying this is a cool, cozy place on Mt. Washington. Also supposedly has a haunted history which makes it interesting. Food isn't bad but the service always seems to be painfully slow. Took two hours for a typical meal (for 2 people) the last time we were there. Server, while a nice guy, took more than ten minutes to acknowledge our table & take drink orders after we were seated. The food took an exceptionally long time to come out after the appetizer- and all we ordered was two burgers. The server was nowhere in sight & did not check back until the food was almost gone. Meanwhile we were short one fork for a side dish and in need of napkins and drink refills. We sat forever once we were done, and the clearing of plates/ bringing the check took a solid 25 minutes. As someone who had several waitressing jobs in the past, I tend to be more patient and understanding when it comes to eating out. However, this was more of a late night dinner - not during a busy dinner rush- and the service was still poor/inefficient. Still worth checking out, just something to keep in mind if you have somewhere to be after!
