  • I was excited to try ikes because of their vegan sandwiches.. but I doubt we will be back. First, the guy taking our order clearly wasn't educated on what vegan is. I wouldn't nornally mind except they literally have a vegan and vegetarian menu so I would expect the staff to know how important it is to be precise. Second, they almost put "veggie bacon" on my boyfriends sandwich he asked to be made vegan, lucky that we asked because "veggie" bacon has egg in it proving my first point. Third, the fillings for the sandwich was minimal at best. I felt like I was at Jimmy John's. All bread and little fillings for $11 each? I'll pass. Final complaint, why are we still using iceburg lettuce? and make sure your avocados are at least ripe before adding them to a sandwich. They tend to be rather hard when they aren't ripe.
