Update: Since my last review i will say I'm changing my rating and my review. Right after I wrote my review the owner Maria reached out to me and heard me out on my last experience at the store. She was very pleasant to deal with and you could tell she actually cared about my honest feedback and how she could rectify the situation. Since my original review was not about the products themselves but my experience I'm updating that review to reflect now both my customer experience and their products. Thank you for taking my concern seriously.
As for their cookies who would have anything negative to say about their shortbread cookies. By far they are the best in town and melt in your mouth delicious. They come in a variety of flavours and you can choose various tins sizes or just pick up a few. These cookies are always a hit no matter what. My favourite though are the butterscotch lady fingers. These are absolutely to die for.
Original review:
I know that everyone is going to wonder how on earth I could give her shortbreads a one star, but this isn't about the shortbread for me it was the experience. Every year we went to buy the shortbread at Xmas time as gifts. We had never had any issues previously but on my last visit there I was waiting to be served and blatantly ignored when another customer who was not a minority walked in. If we had t have made the trek in from uptown I would have just left and not bothered but I waited and was not offered a cookie as was the non minority customer and paid and left. I wrote them an email expressing my displeasure with their customer service and was never given a reply. Needless to say I have not gone back since and refuse to give business to a company that fully discriminated against a customer.
