| - I just got back from this place just now, Nov 21 at 3 PM. I created a Yelp account just to review them I am so annoyed. I initially went in this morning and got a coffee and a pear muffin. I drank my coffee on the way to work, it was excellent. I started to eat my muffin and noticed there was no pear taste. Thinking maybe it was a muffin with pear compote in the middle, I sliced it in half. No pear. So basically it was a sugar muffin---obviously I opted to refrain from eating this. No big deal, I'm not an irrational person, I realize things happen and people make mistakes. But at $3 a pop, it wasn't cheap. This place is very close to my house, so I decided to stop back on my way home and exchange the muffin for another one, NBD right? I went to the front and explained that the pear muffin had no pear, and could I please exchange it for another one. I received a skeptical "ok" and a dirty look from the barista. No sorry or even a remote hint of understanding of any kind. She then proceeded to give the other barista an incredulous look right in front of me. I took my muffin, said thanks, and left. To the owner of this establishment: you have great coffee (Seattle native), but you may want to coach the barista working 11/21 in the afternoon some basic customer service skills. This is honestly one of the worst customer service interactions I've ever encountered, and I lived in Boston at one point. I will not be back.
