  • Southwest Dental Group deserves negative stars. Even giving them one star is generous. I visited Southwest Dental Group a few years back when I didn't have dental insurance. They were offering a "discount dental plan" that seemed like a great idea. It turned out to be anything but discount. I went in for a cleaning and they told me I would need a debridement which was like a super cleaning. I fell for it and scheduled another appt. (Cha-ching) In hindsight the super cleaning was a waste of time and money. They beat up my teeth and gums to the point of pain. It's not like I had a history of gum disease or hadn't had my teeth cleaned in years. I'm a sucker. After the debridement they sold me a bottle of expensive mouthwash which again was totally unnecessary. They know how to sell I'll give 'em that much. During my appointments they were also really pushy about having me get my wisdom teeth removed even though I wasn't having any trouble with them. I told them I wasn't working and didn't have the money and their response was "well you better start saving." I still have my wisdom teeth and they're doing just fine thank you very much. I wouldn't recommend Southwest Dental Group to my worst enemy. I honestly can't believe they are still in business. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.
