| - This is the second time I've been to this spa and been disappointed. I have to say, my massage was my least favorite ... ever. I've been lucky enough to have had many many massage treatments at numerous resort spas. I realize that some massage therapist are better than others. But my gal couldn't have been more uninspired (maybe she was having a really bummer of a day, she was friendly enough when she greeted me). She spent more time walking around the massage table getting another squirt of massage oil than she did giving the massage. She asked if I preferred a deep tissue or a relaxing type massage, I said deep... Goodness, if I had said relaxing it would't have felt a thing. Again maybe she was having a bad day... now two of us were having a bad day. the steam room was not working either - these things happen - but after the meh massage, I was looking forward to few minutes in the steam room. I was with friends (didn't share my experience with them as I didn't want to spoil a beautiful day) so we made the best of it in the jacuzzi.
Although I really love this resort, I will not be coming back to the spa. Take your business elsewhere, you'll be happier (the Fairmont Princess Spa was beyond fabulous, and just up the road - that was last year's bday).
This was my first yelp review ever. I don't like saying negative stuff, I can hear my Mom 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'. But this massage was such a bummer, that I can't it out of my head - probably b/c I paid $150 for an hour of blah.
