Decided to check out Cuba Cafe after seeing all the reviews. The location is a little seedy and the decor could definitely use some updating. The place was cozy overall and our waiter was on top of things. Being a native Floridian who recently moved to Vegas, I've been on the prowl for some good Cuban food. My husband ordered the Ropa Vieja and myself the grilled chicken dish. Both were excellent. The rice wasn't anything special but the meat was delicious. We also ordered the chicken empanadas which I loved and a side of plantains and cassava. The side dishes were too pricey. We didn't order any alcohol, just iced tea and the bill was nearly 60.00. That was too much in my opinion. I don't know that I'll be back but if you are in Vegas and have a hankering for some Cuban food, this is the only viable option. Also the Cuban bread came out grilled and buttered which was odd to me. I've always had it served fresh with butter on the side. Overall, a decent experience.
