| - This place is too good not to shout about. We waited about 20 minutes on Friday night around 5:50 for a table at this adorable restaurant that makes you feel like you are part of the family. Sat at the bar with friendly bartender, Graham seated us and consistently checked on us throughout the meal. Lynn was our server, this woman works hard but still has time to talk to the regulars and make first timers feel welcome. Then there is the food, the food is really good. We started with the fried mushrooms and BBQ shrimp and grits. The biggest, most delicate mushrooms we have ever had, accompanied with a homemade horseradish sauce. The shrimp and grits were also amazing, we had to take over half of it home, because the portion was big. We ordered the Crawfish Etouffee, the sauce was fantastic, the rice perfect (I prefer Crawfish when in season March - June) I think shrimp would have been a better choice, however my companion loved it. The Chicken Cordon Bleu, was great. Light crispy fried chicken, with Swiss, ham, and a sauce that was out of this world good. I believe the owner/manager stopped to talk to everyone in the place, including us and was extremely friendly and bragged about the generous portions. We will be enjoying our leftovers for lunch today and then hitting the gym to work it all off. This is a great, casual, family dining place. No frills, no pretension, just a Big Easy kind of place to grab great meal with great people.
