| - Vegas, baby! We came on a whim to Vegas and had to find a room quick. For the price, location to the strip, & what you get, it's a great deal.
The hotel is located off Flamingo Road, just north of Paradise Road so it is a short ride to the Strip (approximately $6-7 Uber ride). Free parking, no resort fee, and no casino - it was perfect for the quiet trip.
Check in was quick and friendly, our room was ready when we got there. The lobby is small but gets the job done. Sometimes I enjoy hotels where I can just walk a few steps to get to the elevator instead of the 2 mile maze at the bigger hotels.
The free parking lot was initially hard to find at night as it was gated and looked like it was part of the building. It ended up being really convenient and secured. It is located just to the left of the main entrance.
The bar area and bartender was awesome! We got a few drinks and had good conversation.
Our room was nice but a bit smaller than the average room, however, it was clean and fresh. We got a room near the elevator and it was surprisingly quiet. The bed was pretty comfy but a bit soft for me. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the super soft pillows. I needed 3 of them to make it comfortable.
The bathroom was a standard size with a shower/tub combo with the rounded curtain so it didn't feel cramped. The shower's water pressure was nice and powerful and the temperature was constant (which doesn't always happen at some of the bigger hotels). Shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were supplied. I only used the conditioner because I had to shave and forgot my shave cream. It smelled too musky/masculine for me.
We didn't get to use the "roof top" pool or hot tub, but got to see the view as it was too cold. It is located on the 2nd floor.
The best thing was the price. It was the price quoted on the site. No resort fees (which can be as much as $40/night at other hotels) and no parking fees. Yay!!
Oh, yes. One more thing, it is located across the street from Lotus of Siam (yummy Thai food from a chef with a James Beard award), near Fogo de Chao (the BEST Brazilian BBQ) and Morton's the Steakhouse.
All in all, we had a great little getaway weekend and would recommend this hotel if you want some quiet time.
