  • My young daughters were crestfallen when the Menchi's in this storefront closed. Then they spotted the Gigi's Cupcakes sign one day and asked me to stop the car. It was still under construction, so they kept an eye out from the back seat for the next few months. We drove by yesterday, and a cry went up from the back seat that the sign was lit! We were greeted immediately and got the orientation speech from the nice lady behind the counter. There was actually a crowd of nice ladies behind the counter. The cupcakes are $3.50 each (!), but there are mini versions 4/$5.99 (!). All are beautiful to look at. The girls chose 2 each, and I took mommy-tax bites. Delicious. I'm not a fan of sky-high frosting, so the minis were just right. I would splurge on a box full of minis for a birthday party.
