My cat had a wound of some kind on her leg, which we didn't realize until I picked her up this morning and it ruptured. The smell was atrocious, clearly infected. We took her to Dr. B at west flamingo animal hospital. My husband has taken previous pets there over the last 20 years. They got us in within the hour, and at the end of one hour in the office, had figured out she had a 104 degree fever resulting from a spider bite, which was massive and infected and just awful. Not only did they treat my fur baby with absolute love and attentiveness, they were very kind to me as I was hysterical. They are keeping her overnight to get her fever down, and will be helping us to administer home care after we pick her up tomorrow. Since it was a spider bite they can't do surgery to close the wound but they are full of information on how we can help her heal now that it's drained and antibiotics given. So grateful for Dr B and her team today. Thank you a million times. I will bring all my pets here now.
