Before I had my hair extensions put in I already had very fine hair. I wanted more volume. After Katy was done the hair look great. Very long and healthy. 8 weeks later I had my extensions moved up. I notice a lot of hair on the floor after she was done. Right away notice that the volume was almost half what I had before my extensions were moved up. She said that the hair loss was normal. I came back and told her that it looks thin and bridle. She replaced and added some of the hair extensions and I went home looking better. 3 weeks later I started to see the clips poking throughout my hair, being quite visible.
I had my extensions taken out and I was horrified to see what was left on my head. I lost ton of my own hair. My hair is broken off and very very thin. The only area that is not thin is the area where I did not have extensions put in. I just can not stop crying. My hair stylist said that the hair that Katy put in was too heavy, too tight and pulled my own hair so much I lost it.
Lesson learn, know the risks, before you go. Katy will not tell you any of this. She should have recognized after the first 8 weeks that the extensions were too heavy and damaging for my hair. Now I am left with an awful looking hair and just hope it will grow back over time.
