My husband and I rented a slingshot from Scooter Rentals LV a couple weeks ago during our time in Vegas. It was a great little vehicle, a cross between motorcycle and car. It was almost brand new and we really enjoyed riding in it. Only issue was that the auxiliary input did not work.
When we first approached the rental store the owners were very friendly. We rented the slingshot for 24 hours, our time started at (2pm). The next day upon returning the rental we received a text at 1:15, the lady at the front desk sent us a text message asking us where we were? My husband replied: I am getting gas and we should be there shortly, she responded: saying that there was a"15 minuet grace period" (which we were never told about and to our knowledge we were to bring it back at 2pm (because that was 24 hours. We arrived at the rental place at 1:30. I believe it was the owner that was standing outside impatiently waiting. My husband and I got out the vehicle and he didn't even greet us and ask how it drove, or what we thought of it. My husband tried to tell him that the auxiliary input wasn't working properly and that their plate sign that said "rentals" almost fell off but he was so dismissive and he didn't even acknowledge us. He just told my husband to leave the keys in the car, so he did and the owner took the vehicle and drove off.
We then waited inside awkwardly with the lady at the front desk. When he returned she went outside (she exchanged a few words with the owner) and the the lady came back inside and asked how the "rental plate" fell off. We explained that one of the bolts were loose so we removed it to prevent it from getting lost and falling off and we kept the plate inside the storage compartment in the car. We didn't appreciate that she made it seem as though the plate fell off when we told her that we removed it to prevent it from falling off as the bolts were loose. Furthermore the plate was tacky and should have been removed in the first place at the time the rental started. Regardless if its for marketing purposes luxurious cars shouldn't be accompanied with tacky accessories. My husband then began explaining that their auxiliary input wasn't working, she then said"that has never happened before etc" ironically the iphone cord was taped, so clearly she knew it was previously damaged and tried to make it seem as if we did it.
We really enjoyed our rental however their attitude and customer service was so poor it completely turned us off. Aside from the fun rental if you're not from the States, they only required a valid license and $400 deposit. We would given 4 stars if they weren't so rude and unprofessional.
