Social hour at Beckett's Table! Usually we eat in the restaurant but we decided to try out "social hour" a solid 3.5, I would feel horrible giving it 3 stars but 4 is a stretch. The front desk staff amazing and the owner is always warm and sweet. Staff worked together well (my water glass was NEVER empty) even though there is a bottle at the table they always make sure your glass is full. Our server was a little quiet and reserved I couldn't figure it out it was a roller coaster, once you think "he's a little too curt" then he will be friendly and attentive, then we hit another low. Specialty cocktails are very good. Cheese and bacon biscuits with apple butter (I mean how could you go wrong?) they were good with pieces of real bacon but they would have been delicious if they were warm or hot in anyway. Grits with shrimp and sausage was good. Crow's Dairy feta was ok as well not great I did like the roasted fennel. Brussels sprouts (my favorite vegetable) I didn't care for theirs tough and lacking of flavor. Grilled cheese with pancetta delicious it reminded me of one I had on the street in Florence. Plenty of cheese including the bread it was a bit salty but understandable considering what it is. Finally deviled eggs of the day, second favorite after the grilled cheese. Presentation 5 stars and so cute it was a shame to eat but I got over it quickly Decor is warm, chic and inviting.
