I have been more and more disappointed with this place. I have been a member off and on since it opened. I feel it's gone downhill but maybe just getting older makes me notice more. The place is full of slobs--I see more people NOT wiping down machines than those who do. They closed for 11 days just a month ago and put in new floors and some new cardio equipment and 3 treadmills are already down. During this closure they didn't bother fixing the broken faucet in the (always gross) ladies' restroom or the broken paper towel dispenser by the treadmills, to name a few specifics. People leave paper towels and empty water bottles everywhere, and don't re-rack the weights (which are obnoxiously being dropped all the time too). The treadmill TVs get 4-5 channels. Some staff are very nice and do a good job though. The personal training is all right. It's expensive--typical--but the trainers hardly get any of that money and so some aren't all that committed but overall it's ok. So what's good? Why stay or join? The class instructors are great; it has a pool, sauna, hot tub, and group classes for the lowest price around; there are multiple locations; and the hours are fantastic esp. on weekdays. It's basically the Walmart of gyms. Oh, and some have said it's hard to cancel membership but I've done it thru the mail (there's a form online) a couple of times with no problem. Then they periodically offer you a free signup (online) if you want to re-join. I just wish the members had more respect for the place and the other patrons.
