| - It was really a great time! We spent some time looking into it before we even moved here. A couple weeks ago we heard they were only open for a few more weeks so we decided last weekend to give it a try. We didn't know what to expect so we decided to bring water instead of BEER! Well that was a mistake! haha
When we got there, they told us they were only running from #2-#4 and it was about 4hrs. Im not going to lie, we almost walked away, but we decided what the hell!!!
Very organized, gave them a DL and got 2 tubes. We hopped on the bus and a few minutes later were dropped off at the launch.
The water was pretty damn cold compared to what was expected, but it was nice!
Scenery, Top Notch! We even saw Wild Horses drinking on the side of the river.
Be sure you read through their list of things to bring before you go. I'd suggest a towel or sheet to lay over the tube because the black rubber can get super hot in the sun.
As it turned out, its 4hrs if you sit your lazy ass on the tube and float away. My wife and I paddled and swam a bit and did it in about 2.5hrs. You get to the end, get out of the river, back on the bus and you're back at the headquarters.
Something we'd definitely do again, but next time will add a floating cooler, beer, beer, beer, beer, & probably bring some beer. You can also stop at several spots on the side of the river and have a nice Picnic if you'd like. A water proof radio would have been nice, but the large Party Group behind us were playing a decent mix of music.
