| - I wish I could give 5 stars to the cashier, Amber. And I would give 0 stars to the manager, David.
The experience I had during my recent visit to the Boca park/Rampart Party USA location was full of so many emotions !!
I was very pleased and happy with the GREAT customer service skills that I received from the cashier, Amber. She was friendly and very professional with me and other customers who came in after me. She greeted everyone with a smile on her face and seemed to be the only employee working and was doing many things at one time.
I was extremely disappointed with the way that the manager of the store, David, interacted with customers in the store, a potential customer on the phone (which before he even picked up the phone he was yelling at Amber and telling her that she let the phone ring too many times while she was in the middle of blowing up a balloon!!! And the tone of his voice and the angry way that he was talking to the potential custome over the phone was ridiculous!!! I would NEVER then set foot in that store after that phone call conversation ! The unprofessional way that David was talking to them over the phone would make me never set foot in a Party USA store!), and he especially treated the cashier, Amber, in a very rude and unprofessional way, in front of me and other customers!!
It hurt my heart to see this happening, so I asked the cashier for her name and for the "guy" who was stomping around and having the worst customer service skills that I have ever seen. Come to find out that the unprofessionalism was coming from the MANAGER!!! If the manager, David, talks and treats people the way I saw him do when people are all around, I can only imagine how bad it gets behind the scenes! It was very frustrating and left a bad feeling in my heart to see the manager get away with treating an employee and customers the way he did.
I even witnessed someone coming in and asking for an application and had his resume ready to hand out. And instead of politely letting the patron know that that location was not currently hiring, but maybe trying some of the other locations, he basically was pushed out the door and David would not even take his resume or give him an application!
I hope someone reading this will be able to observe and do something about what is going on in this store because it does not seem like a good work environment nor shopping environment.
I quickly left after witnessing all of that with my beautiful balloon arrangement which was priced at a very reasonable price.
