  • I'm surprised to see such low reviews. I went there with my boyfriend at approximately 7pm (when they open) this past Friday night. Tickets cost roughly 20 bucks per person. We waited in line at the actual houses for about 20 minutes. Not bad for a Friday night close to Halloween. I've never been to a haunted house before, so I didn't know what to expect. I've been on a haunted hay ride, which was amusing, but not so scary for me. It's usually hard to scare or startle my boyfriend and me given our law enforcement background, but boy was I wrong here. This house was making me jump and scream with every few feet! I went in head first before my boyfriend, so I tended to hit the ghouls first which dulled his surprise. When I told him to go ahead of me a few times he was very cautious, going slow and looking around for surprises and people, which is why he probably didn't get as scared as me. So my advise here is to get the best scare, don't pay too much attention or caution, and you'll get the best effect! Secondly, it was only a matter of time before you caught up to the group ahead of you which is no fun because your group isn't getting scared as much, so I also recommend taking a 30 second to one minute break if you get caught up with a group ahead of you. I also recommend taking your time paying attention to all the rooms' details. They really did a great job with it. It's tempting when the "fight-or-flight" hormones kick in when you want to run out of a room, but relax and take your time looking at all the gory and creepy props in each room. Lots of elements and attention to detail they put in each exhibit. Strobes where very disorienting which made you feel deeply frightened on a physiological level because I started to get very dizzy. Was so cool. Loud noises and smells of gasoline from chainsaws where everywhere and truly made for a horrific scenario, as where the effects from air machines blowing in your face and startling you as you walk through each corridor. Acting was very good from most of the actors. As I was impressed at this, too. My only complaint was that it ended a little too quickly, but if you take some of my advice you should enjoy the Fear Experience!
