4 stars=yay I'm a fan. I was in town for the weekend and my friends made a reservation for a Saturday night. They were excited to bring me there and I can see why. I know this is a chain but it's one I'd never heard of and who doesn't like fondue?
The staff was excellent, attentive and explained everything you would want to know about how everything works. This is important because I believe the menu is slightly confusing about the pricing. Basically here's the deal, if you want a 4 course meal (cheese fondue, meat fondue, salad and chocolate fondue) it's $50 per person. I found that they give you WAY too much food per person. When we were all set with the cheese course there was a boatload of fondue left (gone to waste). We had the land and sea combo as our "meat" and again we left a lot of food behind. This course was way better than I expected because everything came seasoned and with a really nice variety of dipping sauces. My favorite was the beef with the blue cheese, which was delicious. The chicken doesn't have a great texture when put into the oil. I had 1 piece and was done with that. I'd just do beef and shrimp next time. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but I did have several pieces of fruit with the standard milk chocolate course. It was very, very good.
If you go there remember a few things:
1. You need a reservation
2. if you're having multiple courses, plan to be there a while
3. make sure you know what you like and if you want all 4 courses, or customize your meal
4. boiled chicken is nasty
5. have fun, it's that kind of place
