A lot of people like/love Dillion's. I'm not one of them. A truly good BBQ is an art form and Dillion's BBQ is not even close, certainly not "the best in the valley." What you get in portion size (huge) does not make up for the lack of great BBQ flavor and tender meat. The only reason we went back after our first lackluster meal a couple of years ago, was because of a group event.
It's kind of a dingy place, disjointed in the layout, and not even cute folksy décor - like it was decorated by a committee. Service was lacking - waitress didn't know the menu. I asked if the peaches on the peach salad were fresh and she said yes. She then came back and told me they were canned peaches - really? And this in peach season?? Get a clue, Dillon's! Then on top of it, she got an order wrong - and we kept having to ask for water.
I agree with other Yelper's - there are much better BBQ places around.
