| - It's 105 heat outside, look alive, look alive...
In typical Vegas style, the pool party was packed like sardines even on a Sunday -- which means the water is, you guessed it, bodily fluids city! (I can't be the only one that thinks like this.) Fortunately, Flamingo and Yelp kept the elites separated from the commoners with three reserved cabanas and spray mists in full effect. We so fancy.
We were informed in advance that this was not a food-heavy event, but Flamingo said "hold my drink" and fed us a sizable spread anyway. They had sliders, chicken fingers, waffle fries, fruit platter, veggie platter, along with alcoholic beverages. The staff was friendly and readily refilled both stations and I don't think anybody left hungry or thirsty... except maybe for water after all the flowing libations.
I've never actually been to the Flamingo Go Pool. The grounds provided variety. There's a grotto, waterfalls, and a perfectly manicured lawn leading into the pool area. Yes we even got to see flamingos in the flesh!
Side note: Security wouldn't let me bring my SEALED bottled water in. I understand they only allow coffee between 9a-11a, but no water in the scorching heat didn't make sense.
Overall, me and my plus one enjoyed the afternoon. Great chatting with a few new yelpers! Thank you to the Flamingo pool staff and as always, to Yelp and Taylor -- wherever the wind takes you! Thanks for everything.
