Pretty much a fail. I called them asking if I could put two flutes on consignment and they said "we would rather buy them from you'. Great, right? I thought so. They were two student grade flutes and the guy there said they're very interested in that brand. I was to drop them off and the repair guy would get back to me. That day I bought over $100 of music from them. So fast forward three weeks no call nothing. I walked into the store and one of the guys who waited on me didn't even recognize me. I asked him about the flutes and he said that the repair guy was too busy and they had to put repairs first priority. I understand that but they were the ones who said they wanted to buy the flutes. And really how long is it going to take to inspect a flute compared to repairing one? They asked me to give them a little more time . They should have been properly chagrined. Fast forward another few weeks to today. I just walked in and took them back. This place does not follow through. I would have become a really good customer buying a lot of music from them but they would rather sit around and jam. When I walked in both employees were just jamming on instruments. With the time that they goofed off they could have inspected the flutes and called me with buying quotes. So if you want a place that actually follows through this is not your place. I only gave them two Stars I was going to give them one but another employee was really nice the first time I was there and I have been there a total of 3 times. The one guy brought up the rating for the one visit. There won't be a 4th visit. I try to "buy local" to keep small businesses going, but with "local yokels" like Family Music Centers, this gives me a negative impression. I buy a LOT of music, too bad for them, I will stick to online sellers.
