Sadly, I don't have rave reviews about my experience with Maxon.
Maxon was assigned by a home warranty company to repair the AC in the home I am renting. The tech, Chris, arrived close to 3-330p. Well outside the window I was given (10a-1p). He quickly informed me that he'd spent all day in another customer's attic & was hoping not to have to go into my attic. He asked me where the thermostat was, but I don't recall him even going near it or upstairs at all.
The whole visit took about 45 minutes. He checked the AC unit outside, added freon, sat at my dining table filling out paperwork and left. I did have to contact him after he left because the temp on the thermostat wasn't dropping (it held at about 88-89 degrees). He advised me to turn the AC off, but leave the fan on for a little while & try the AC again later. It took the entire night for the temp to come down.
I will add that the AC went out again 2 weeks later & the vendor that was sent out went up into the attic, replaced the piston & added freon. Although he was polite, I feel Chris could have been more thorough rather than just throwing freon at the unit.
