  • Farren's is the prototypical hole-in-the-wall establishment. Out of the way of the regular downtown foot traffic, it's located in an alley. But every time I go there, it's packed to the door. The food is amazing. I love the green chile cheeseburger because it reminds me of home. Ask them to replace the pepper jack cheese with cheddar. Don't bother paying extra for a fancier side order to replace the tricolor chips - they're amazing. Ask for extra salsa! The service is alright - sometimes you have to flag down a server, but the place is super busy, so it's understandable. Not good for a quick bite. Not open late. Be prepared to wait. A party of two will be sat almost immediately at the bar. Any party bigger than that must wait.
