  • Cannot say enough good things about Isle of You. About a year ago, after having had blonde hair for a couple of years, a stylist (not at Isle of You) said "hey, have you ever considered chocolate brown hair?" I hadn't; so we did, bad idea. I lived with it for about a year (semi-permanent does NOT mean "it will wash out," it seems) and then went to Isle of You to get back to where I was - sort of medium/dark ash blonde with highlights. Unfortunately, in an effort to subject my hair to the least amount of stress (and minimize the number/cost of procedures), the result was that my hair was strawberry blonde - not a good look for me. (to be fair, the highlights *within* the strawberry blonde-ness were AMAZING). I lived with it for about a week, making sure my eyes didn't deceive me, and then called Isle of You to find out what could be done. While all of the stylists were booked, they had me come in the very next night so they could at least tone it down, which I appreciated. By no means was it fixed, but it WAS a bit better, and I really appreciated their sense of urgency and commitment to making it right. The next appointment they had for me to come back was on Christmas Eve, and I'll tell you now - Shari stayed until 4:30pm, making sure I was happy with my hair. THAT is dedication to customer satisfaction. And she and Josh are just lovely, fun, genuine, and warm. Pittsburgh, we are so lucky to have them, and if you haven't been in to see them - you're missing out. Thanks, Shari, Josh and everyone else - I'll be back for sure!
