  • Horrible estimator! Extremely slow, took 1.5 hours to take measurements to hang two strings of lights on my patios. He felt he had to make drawings where each of the 4 hooks would be placed to string the lights and gave a ball park estimate of double the time estimated by the manufacturer. He did not provide the official written estimate for three days and only after having to call to request it. When he finally provided it, he more than doubled the time to 6 hours (with 2 electricians) to hang two 40 foot string of lights and attach 4 hooks on the patios. Additionally, he added $70 for materials for wire and zip ties providing an estimate of over $500 to string two strings of patio lights and put in 4 hooks! He seemed very uncomfortable when he saw gay themed art work (Andy Warhol) and a small gay flag on the desk in my office. I suspect a bit of homophobia may have come into play with this estimator, as I got a second estimate from a competitor and it was less than half of his estimate. If you are gay, you might want to save yourself time and aggravation and steer clear of this company! After my complaint the owner reviewed the estimate and admitted it might be a little high but rather than error in favor of the customer chose to stick with the high bid. Eco's slogan is "we give our customers the power!" It is more accurate to say Eco "gives their customers the shaft!"
