the west is not better then the east in this case.
together both sections make a damn good park.
but they are split by the humber river.
this side is not as good as the east end, with a majority of the park being taken up by the marina, or by pavement. one washroom but five parking lots? that's a bit much, like the east, the bathroom is only by the parking, and you have to pay for parking, during the summer a farmers market takes place as well.
if you like calm, come to this park because you could spend a day just at peace while Toronto runs around behind you.
aside from driving, the 501 streetcar is a great transit option to get to the park.
