It's taken me a year to get over the events that took place...
Upon my initial talks with the sales rep., who was very professional, to the dealings with the actual movers, whom were not very professional, it's taken awhile to even want to think about Triple 7 Movers. I moved from Phoenix to San Francisco at the beginning of 2011. I was quoted a certain price and of course was told it was subject to change but just how much does one expect it to change? Really it should be plus or minus a few $100 not more than $500.
If that's not bad enough, they didn't show up to move my things like they said they would. I had to keep calling them to check and see when they were coming. I got tired of getting the run around from the dispatcher and finally got the actual drivers phone number. My moving day was rescheduled by them and on the actual day they were supposed to arrive they were 8 hrs late!?!? That's ridiculous if you ask me! Moving is stressful enough without having to nagging the company you are pay some absurd amount too.
They fail to tell you have to pay for all that plastic wrap they use on your furniture/boxes and even when you go to the trouble of wrapping your own items (ahead of time, in hopes of saving some time) they still charge you to wrap it again... AND they will use an entire roll of plastic wrap on two boxes. You can certainly see how the costs can add up quickly but whats a person supposed to do when they have all your shit packed up in their truck and they give you the final cost and it's nearly $1000 more than what you had been quoted?? SOL
The only good thing about this company was the guys who unpacked my stuff in SF. They were really nice and showed up on time. Apparently they're just contract workers. So basically, I have nothing good to say about Triple 7 Movers.
Move along people... to another mover!
