  • Quick update to all of this. I did finally get my car and most of my parts back from these guys on November 4th. Unfortunately for me it turns out that a lot of the work I had already paid for (e.g. rebuilding my turbo, intake piping work, engine build, etc.) was either never performed, or was only partially completed. I also didn't get all of my parts back, such as all my assembly hardware (nuts, bolts, etc.), replacement camshafts (only received my original camshafts back), battery, valve covers, new blow off valve, engine lower intake, cam covers, harmonic balancer, cam sensors (which were brand new and recently installed at the dealership a few months before Insane Speed got a hold of my car), power steering bracket, thermostat housing, and my new engine gasket kit! There may be even more of my property stolen by Mr. Thrun that has yet to be discovered. I had a remaining balance of about $2700 with Insane Speed for the completion of the build when they went out of business, but new estimates are putting the remaining work at $9000 or more to replace parts, repair, and finish the mess of a car they returned to me. Since Mr. Thrun has taken my parts and money, and fled back to Illinois, it looks like I may have to file a criminal report with the Las Vegas FBI Office. If anyone else has been screwed over by this guy, I suggest you do the same!
