Quantum is definitely...different. In a good way, but still different.
Came here during opening week, & was greeted at the entrance by a lovely woman who helped us navigate through their ordering process.
Yup. There's a process.
So you walk in & to your right is the ordering counter. Luckily the menu is huge & straightforward. The girl at cash was also pretty helpful when choosing a size (I guess I'm used to ordering a latte & being forced to one size?). Anyway, then you walk over to the left side of the entranceway to wait for your order.
This part was interesting. The baristas were super friendly & chatty, & it's always fun watching them prepare drinks. I'm intrigued with their set up, definitely need to come back to try their pour over.
Now to find a seat. Or not. So there's TONS of space. The front of Quantum has bar seating that overlooks King St. Into the back is a huge space with tables. I love this concept, however it was packed & didn't seem like anyone was leaving. Luckily we got our "medium" sized lattes to go.
Overall, great space & definitely a welcoming addition to the neighbourhood. Decor & layout is great. Personally, if I wanted to come here to get work done it would suit that purpose. Not sure it's the best spot for a coffee with friends.
